About Us

Established in 1991, The Golden Legacy Financing Corporation (TGLFC) is an SEC-licensed financing company offering pension loan solutions to retirees of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Social Security System (SSS), and Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO). As of December 2017, its loan portfolio was at PHP 1.15 Billion from over 8,000 AFP, SSS, and PVAO borrowers. It currently operates 7 branches located in Manila, Dagupan, Tarlac, Lipa, Naga, Iloilo, and Cebu.

As part of its mission to service even more Filipinos, TGLFC is currently expanding its product suite to include non-pension loan offerings such as cash advances, SME loans, and salary loans.

Our Milestones

1991

Incorporated with the SEC as The Golden Legacy Lending Corporation by the Zamora and Nepomuceno families in July 1991 with the primary purpose of providing pension loans to AFP retirees

2003

Increased its capital base as it transitioned into a SEC-licensed financing company and amended its name to The Golden Legacy Financing Corporation

2011

Increased capitalization to PHP 50 Million, which allowed the Company to expand and service a wider market

2013

Further increased its capital base to PHP 100 Million leading to significant growth in its loan portfolio and the opening of its 1st provincial branch in Dagupan, Pangasinan

 

Partnered with Philamlife to provide Credit Redemption Insurance to its borrower

2016

Opened its 2nd provincial branch in Lipa, Batangas.

 

Executed a partnership with Asia United Bank (AUB) for a PHP 620 Million credit facility that enabled further branch expansion in Tarlac and Naga and the full launch of its SSS Pension Loan product

2017

Achieved milestones of PHP 1 Billion in loan portfolio and PHP 300 Million in capitalization, allowing for further broadening of its scope to the Visayas thru branches in Cebu and Iloilo and for partnering with AUB for the launch of its 3rd pension loan product – PVAO Pension Loans

2018

Executed a partnership with United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) for a PHP 1 Billion credit facility that will support AFP and SSS pension loan expansion into 40 new territories

 

Ventured into non-pension loans with the launch of its Salary Loan product in realization of its strategy to diversify its loan portfolio and enter into new market segments
